In Windows XP with JAWS

Cleaning And Compacting folders on The Computer
1. Press Windows key
2. Press P for “programs”
3. Press enter
4. Press a for “accessories”
5. Arrow right once to accessibilities
6. Press S until you hear…System tools
Arrow to the right
arrow down until you hear…disc clean up.
Press enter
If you can tab to OK do so and press enter.
If your computer will not read the directions do the following:
Press your Jaws Curser key at the top right of your num pad.
arrow down or left or right until you hear…OK
Then press the left mouse button which is on the top row of the num pad keys the second from the left.
You will hear your computer making a noise.
It is now compacting files on your C drive. Freeing up more space.
(This will probably take about five minutes.)

TO Defrag Your Computer
Follow steps 1 – 6 above
Arrow down to disc defragmenter
Press enter
This may take several hours to clean and compact folders on your hard drive.
(This should be done approximately several times a year.)
