Cutting and pasting a word
When you have a word in an incorrect place in a sentence you can do the following to move it or get rid of it.
*Removing A Word From a Document
Using your control and lef and right arrow keys go to the space behind the word.
Press control and backspace at the same time.
The word is now gone and you can type a new word or leave the sentence as it is. Make sure that the spaces are correct in the sentence by relistening to the sentence or by using the control and arrow keys to move one word at a time through the sentence.
*CUT…Removing the Word To The Clip Board
1. This time you will use the control and the left and right arrow keys to get in front of the word or group of words that you would like to remove and place in another area.
2. Now press control/shift/right arrow at the same time.
You will hear…the word to me removed to the clip board being spoken along with the word “selected”
3. After you have selected all of the material
You will press… control and x to remove the text from the document and place it on the clip board.(This is cutting)
*Copying…Making a copy of the Selected word(s)
Follow steps 1 and 2 above
Press control c to copy the word(s) to the clip board. The words should still be there on the document.
A copy of the text is somewhere in the brain of your cmputer.
*Paste… Putting Material in another place.
After cutting or Copying.
Put your curser in the spot you would like to put the previously copied or cut words.
Now press control v.
Be sure to space between the words.
Remember that you must copy the material that was just previously cut. You can’t retrieve material that was cut for previous documents or after doing the above process several times.
